Why do I need additional buoyancy when swimming?

A cramp, a current, a sudden loss of strength. Problematic situations in the water are varied and often come as a complete surprise. However, it is possible to plan by carrying additional buoyancy for greater swimming safety.

Additional buoyancy can often immediately relieve an unpleasant situation in the water and knowing that you have buoyancy with you just in case allows you to enjoy swimming much more freely and relaxed.

Also remember that other people in the water may need help. By giving them a buoyancy aid from a safe distance, you can help them effectively without putting yourself in danger.

I am a very good swimmer, so why do I have a need for a Safety Buoy?

Even good swimmers are not immune to an accident or a problematic situation in the water. You can get a cramp or suddenly become exhausted. You can get caught in a current or the weather can change. All these situations can cause you to panic. Additional buoyancy usually relaxes you immediately, allowing you to get your bearings and regain your strength.

Also, other people in the water can always be in trouble. By giving them a buoyancy aid such as the Safety Buoy, you can often provide effective help without putting yourself in danger.

Who is ACTIVE for?

ACTIVE is versatile and suitable for a wide range of activities on and in the water - both training and competition.

Use ACTIVE for swimming, stand-up paddling, fishing, boating, triathlon, kayaking and canoeing.

How does the swim buoy work?

The SWIM BUOY is very easy to use and quick to attach!

Simply fasten the belt around your waist, inflate the air chamber using the mouth valve and pull the buoy behind you as you swim.

The buoy has almost no drag in the water.

When using the SWIM BUOY PRO, you can also store useful items such as an energy bar or your keys in an area separate from the air chamber so they are always at hand.

Can I use the RESTUBE Safety Buoy more than once?

Yes, after replacing the CO2 CARTRIDGE, the Safety Buoy is immediately ready for use again. The sales package contains the safety buoy incl. an original RESTUBE CO2 CARTRIDGE that must be screwed in before use. After use, the safety buoy is very easy to prepare for use again: Deflate, insert a new cartridge, fold the buoyancy chamber according to the printed instructions, and stow the whole thing in the pouch! ATTENTION: Only original RESTUBE CO2 CARTRIDGES are 1.) 100% quality tested, 2.) seawater resistant, 3.) level tested and 4.) the necessary release force is matched to the release. The cartridges comply with the standard for life jackets DIN EN ISO 12402-7. If other cartridges are used, it cannot be guaranteed that the safety buoy will fill without problems in an emergency and the trigger may be damaged.
